Buddies, our Breakfast and After School Club has been running successfully since September 2016. The following school staff work at Buddies on a rota basis:

The Club is open Monday to Friday during term-time. The only exclusions to this are the 5 teacher training days, when school is closed to pupils and on the afternoon of the last day of each term (the last day at school before the Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays). The club is a part of our school and school staff run the club in the top hall.
The opening times are as follows:
Breakfast Club – 7.50am to 8.55am each day
After School Club – Monday to Thursday 3pm to 5.45pm
After School Club – Friday 3pm to 5pm
Breakfast will consist of a choice of cereal, toast, milk and juice. Breakfast service ends at 8.30am, so your child must arrive at the club early enough to ensure they have finished their breakfast by 8.30am to allow staff time to clear away. Children will be provided with a light tea at the After School Club, which will consist of sandwiches, fruit, biscuits, a drink etc. We are aware of any allergies/specific dietary requirements for all children who attend Buddies Club and these are catered for in line with food hygiene procedures. Please see below a list of allergens contained within the food we serve (these are checked on a regular basis and updated as necessary).
There are a range of activities and equipment on offer for the children each day and these vary.
All the children are taken to their classrooms from the Breakfast Club and are also collected from their classrooms at the end of the school day and taken to the After School Club. A register is taken each day and parents are expected to sign their children out when they are collected from the After School Club. A password system is in operation when collecting the children and you will have been notified of your password when your child joined Buddies; please ensure that anyone who may be collecting your child is aware of the password as Buddies staff will not release children without this password.
If your child will not be attending a Buddies after school session, it is important you notify the school office to ensure the Buddies register is up to date with this information.
Payments should be made monthly in advance via ParentPay, our online payment system or by Childcare Vouchers if your employer has signed up to this. Parents are notified in advance of the amount to be paid each month. If payment is not received within 7 days of the due date, we reserve the right to refuse entry to the club until all payments are brought up to date.
The charge for the Breakfast Club each day is as follows:
7.50am to 8am £1 per child
8am to 8.55am £3.50 per child per session
When your child is signed in to club in a morning, the time will be confirmed with you. If this is before 8am, the additional £1 charge will be applied.
The charge for the After School Club is as follows:
Monday to Thursday £8 per child per session
Friday £5.50 per child per session
There is also a late collection charge of £5, which will be applied if a child is collected after 5.45pm (or 5pm on a Friday). If you are consistently late picking up your child, we reserve the right to cancel your child’s place and will give you the required month’s notice for this.
If you book a holiday during term-time, we will still require full payment for Buddies Club.
One month’s notice is required to vary sessions and one month’s notice is required if you no longer wish your child to attend the club. We may be able to offer ad-hoc sessions, but will require at least one day’s notice and we cannot guarantee that there will always be availability for this.
The children attending the club will be expected to follow the school’s behaviour policy (this is available on the school website). We reserve the right to cancel your child’s place at the club with immediate effect if staff deem their behaviour to be dangerous or unacceptable.
The staff will adhere to all the school’s policies while in charge of the children at the club (safeguarding, administering first aid, code of conduct etc) and all staff are First Aid trained.
