Rainbow Challenges 07.07.22

Posted in Early Years on Thursday, 7th July 2022

Reception have enjoyed exploring all of the rainbow challenges this week. In the writing area, the children have been creating and labelling their own maps. In the phonics area, the children have been reading the words and deciding if it is a real word (place it in the treasure chest) or a nonsense word (place it in the bin.) In the reading area, the children have been reading different words and finding them in the word searches. In the water area, the children have been counting how many animals they can put in to a boat before it sinks. In the painting area, the children have been painting different maps. In the maths area, the children have been completing number sentences to make number bonds to 10. In the cutting and sticking area, the children have been cutting out animals and making their own map of a zoo. In the finger gym area, the children have been making patterns by placing the pegs in the boards. Outside, the children have been using natural resources to spell their names.
