As the Summer approaches, I wanted to share with you some resources which you may find useful, especially looking forward to school starting back in September. Please find details below - I will also post this information in the Parents section of the website to make it easier to access.
https://offschool.org.uk/ - this website has some great ideas & activities in the 'Parent Zone' for supporting mental well-being. Also check out the 'Silly Squad Summer Reading Challenge' this looks like a really fun way to help keep your child reading over the Summer.
I've attached two documents that have been put together by CAMHS. One is a 'Going Back to School Book' to share with your child to help get them ready for starting back in September. The other is a 'Coping Skills for Kids' booklet which contains useful ideas, strategies and activities to help your child cope with their emotions. Remember that CAMHS have their own Facebook page - you can find this under: Doncaster CAMHS.
The government has produced guidance to help parents who are planning on accessing childcare/Summer activities - this can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-for-parents-and-carers-of-children-attending-out-of-school-settings-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak/guidance-for-parents-and-carers-of-children-attending-out-of-school-settings-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak
And finally, please have a look at the email below this message - I have been asked to circulate this to parents regarding an exciting innovation to parenting support that is coming to Doncaster. I've also attached a reminder about the free Parenting Course that is available to all parents/carers in Doncaster.
Wishing you all a safe and happy Summer,
