Welcome to the world baby Mundy
We are so excited to be able to share with you that Mrs Mundy and her husband welcomed their baby boy Albie Louie into the world on 21st November. The new little family is doing really well and we hope that Mrs Mundy will be bringing Albie in to school soon to meet his Mayflower family!
Well done Year 6
This week, Year 6 went to Bawtry Hall to perform at the annual Senior Residents Christmas Lunch. The children sang Christmas songs for the residents, including 'Silent Night', 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas' and the children's favourite '12 Days Of Christmas' complete with actions! The residents seemed to be having a great time at the event and we received a lovely email from some residents who were at the lunch letting the children know how much they enjoyed the children singing.
Thank You PTA!
Once again, our wonderful PTA has provided some fantastic events in school this week. Yesterday they held discos in both halls and the children had a fantastic time. Today they have held their Christmas shop and the children had a great time choosing gifts for their loved ones. We are always so grateful for all the helpers that come to the PTA events - without you, these events could not run and the children would miss out so we really would like say a huge thank you to everyone who helps the PTA to continue to provide these events for our children.
Jokubas in Year 4 was awarded his green belt in Shotocan Karate last weekend. Well done Jokubas - you should be really proud of yourself for this achievement! Keep up the hard work and we look forward to sharing your future success in Karate with everyone on future blogs.
Freya in Year 2 was very excited recently when she was awarded her Level 3 certificate and badge for swimming. Freya loves her swimming lessons and had to complete a variety of tasks to be awarded her Level 3 certificate, including swimming on her back. Well done Freya!
We have spoken to Cauliflower Cards this week and the orders should be back in school next week. As soon as they are delivered, we will distribute them to the classes for the children to bring home.

Christmas Service Monday 16th December
We will be walking to St Nicholas' Church on the morning of Monday 16th December for our annual Christmas Service. This is always such a wonderful service which the children enjoy taking part in. We know many of you like to join us for our church services, so if you would like to walk with us to the church that day, please come to the school office by 9am. The class registers will be taken and then the children will get ready to set off to church.
Christmas Jumper Day Wednesday 18th December
This year, we would like the children to wear Christmas jumpers on Wednesday 18th December. This is our Christmas dinner day and we want to be as festive as possible on that day! If your child doesn't want to wear a Christmas jumper, they can just come in non-uniform that day.
Carols round the tree Wednesday 18th December
Carols round the tree will take place on Wednesday 18th December straight after school in the lower hall. The tennis after school club will still be taking place, so if parents of children who attend the tennis club would like to take their children to sing carols, please let the school office know that they won't be going to tennis before 18th December. We would like everyone to come into school to enjoy some festive singing followed by mince pies and hot chocolate and we hope as many of you as possible can make it. Children who attend Buddies that evening will be taken to sing with everyone else by Buddies staff and then taken back up to Buddies once the event has finished.
