Remembrance Assembly
Our Year 6 children led our whole-school Remembrance assembly this morning. They did an amazing job and provided some really thought-provoking information in their assembly. They were all really confident speakers and the poems they read really gave us a chance to reflect on what Remembrance day is all about.
Thank you to those who have bought poppies etc this week to raise funds for the Royal British Legion. The money will be collected by one of their volunteers next week and we will share on a future blog how much we have raised as a school.
Christmas Art Project
The artwork for the Christmas art project has now been sent off to Xmas4Schools. Once the company has received the artwork and order forms, parents/carers will receive a text/email with their personal order code so you can then log in, place your orders, and make payment online directly with Xmas4Schools. There will be a short deadline to order items to ensure delivery in time for Christmas, so please ensure if you do wish to purchase anything that you do so as soon as you receive your order code from Xmas4Schools.
All products ordered will be delivered back to school and sent home with the children. We will let parents/carers know when the products are back in school and when they will be sent home with the children.
Individual & sibling photos
Tempest Photography has extended the deadline for parents/carers to be able to order the individual/sibling photos to be returned to school . Please see their message below.
Dear Parents/Carers,
Have you ordered your school photos yet? A polite reminder that the closing date for free delivery back to school is Sunday 20th November 2022. Order through the Tempest website using your unique link or visit www.tempest-orders.co.uk
If you need any assistance in ordering your photos, feel free to contact Tempest on 01736 751555 (option 3).
Many thanks

Job Opportunity
We have some vacancies for relief Midday Supervisors in school at the moment. Our Midday Supervisors are a vital part of our team and are responsible for the children over the lunchtime period. They are with the children when they are eating their meal and also supervise them on the playgrounds at lunchtime. The role is really rewarding. The relief Midday Supervisors would cover for absences etc so wouldn't be required to work every day of every week during term-time.
If you are interested in finding out more about these roles, please call in at the school office or ring us on 01302 710721.
Choir - Young Voices t-shirt and ticket orders
If your child attends our Choir after school club and you haven't yet returned the slip to order your child's t-shirt and Young Voices tickets (if applicable), please remember that the deadline to return the form is next Monday, 14th November. Payments for the tickets required need to be made on ParentPay by Monday 14th November please against payment item 'Young Voices tickets 2023'.
Children in Need donations
Next Friday 18th November, we would like the children to come in their normal clothes rather than their uniform please. We will be fundraising for Children in Need on this day. The donations this year can be made on ParentPay rather than sending cash into school; however, you don't need to log in to your child's ParentPay account to make your donation. If you would like to make a donation to Children in Need, please click on the following link to do so:
https://app.parentpay.com/ParentPayShop/Foc/Default.aspx?shopid=8798
Please remember that there is no obligation to make a donation at all - all children can come to school in their normal clothes on Friday 18th November regardless of whether or not a donation is made.
Applications for Reception places for September 2023
Applications for Reception places for September 2023 are now open. This applies to children whose birthdays fall on or between 1st September 2018 and 31st August 2019.
Don't forget to submit your application before the closing date of 15th January 2023. If your child is currently in our Nursery, you will still need to make an application for their Reception place - they don't move up automatically from Nursery to Reception.
If you live in the Doncaster Council area, you can apply by visiting https://www.doncaster.gov.uk/services/schools/school-admissions and clicking on 'Primary Admissions'. If you live outside of the Doncaster Council area, please contact your local School Admissions Team.
The announcement date for places offered is 17th April 2023.
News from Foundation
This week, in Reception, we have been focussing on our name and number writing skills. You can see from these photos just how hard the children have been trying with this. They have enjoyed using their name cards and number tracks to help them.
There was also great excitement in the outdoor area when we found these carrots in our growing area. The children loved pulling them up out of the ground!
Football Fun!
