Maddie shows high levels of emotional resilience. She understands what she can do to help herself to feel better and utilises a range of strategies to manage her own emotions. Maddie shows understanding towards the feelings of her friends and she tries her best to cheer them up if they feel down.
Rowan comes into school each day with a smile and a positive attitude. He is very aware of the feelings of others and he does all he can to help his friends and to cheer them up if they feel down. Good Luck Superstar Spellers!
Harry, Elizabeth, Robert and Riley J from Year 6 are taking part in a Spelling Bee at Hill House tonight. All the children in Year 6 were given the opportunity to join Round 1 of the competition, which was held in school. Harry, Elizabeth, Robert and Riley J got the top scores for our school, which has enabled them to go through to the next round of the competition along with children from several other primary schools.
Good luck! We will share how the competition went for them on next week's blog.

Tennis Tournament
On Wednesday, 9 of our Year 5/6 children took part in a Tennis tournament at Ridgewood Secondary School. Lucy and Zak have shared their experience of the day with us.
There were 3 schools involved including us. There were 4 children per team and we had to play 4 games per team. The teams were a mixture of Year 5 and Year 6 children. We didn't win the whole thing but if we had been ranked we think we would have come second.
The tournament was really fun. Some of us were a bit nervous before it started, but once we got there and saw that no-one was professional, we felt more relaxed!
It's really good that we are taking part in more sports tournaments. We think we should keep taking part. They help with exercise and your mental health, as well as having fun.
Well done to everyone involved - as always, you did us proud!
Recognition Board Success
Congratulations to the children below who have received their Recognition badges from Mrs Powell recently. They all got their names under all 3 categories on the Recognition board - Work Hard, Be Kind and Be Respectful. Well done everyone!
If your child has been awarded with their Recognition Badge recently and hasn't yet appeared on one of our Friday blogs, please email admin@bawtrymayflower.doncaster.sch.uk and we will make sure we celebrate their success on one of our future blogs.
Congratulations!
Well done to Emilia in Reception, who was awarded a certificate this week as part of her Stage 2 swimming group. Emilia had to put some of her face in the water and blow bubbles and she obviously did a really great job to be awarded with a certificate! Well done Emilia - you are a super swimmer and are working hard. Keep it up!
